While his greatest asset right now is probably his experience, given that he has been practicing as a psychologist for 30 years, also extremely impressive is Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D’s education in the first place. It is certainly a great education. It started with the A.B. degree he earned cum laude honors from Harvard in 1968. Soon after, Dr. Civin attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1968 and 1969 and a year later, he earned his first Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oregon. He wasn’t even closed to finished.

For example, Michael A. Civin earned a second Masters of Arts degree, in Clinical Psychology, from Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. That was in 1988, the same year he officially became Dr. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D., when he earned his medical degree from the same institution. Five years later, Adelphi also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D. has simply never stopped pursuing his psychological education. In addition to his private practice, he also practices his craft as often as possible in the academic world, in addition to private practice.

These days, Dr. Michael Civin works as a clinical psychologist, where continues add to his nearly 30 years' experience as a doctor. He is a senior psychologist at Rose Hill Psychological Services in the Bronx, New York City, a firm he co-founded in 2008. While he primarily works from Rose Hill, he also has operated in private practice in other parts of New York City, including Manhattan, Astoria, and Bayville, since 2007.

This private practice features Michael Civin, Ph.D. working in the field of psychodiagnostics, which is a branch of psychology that evaluates personality and human behavior through testing. He also works in the fields of adult and adolescent psychology and he practices supervision and group psychology, as well.
